DPDP Act compliance

How LeadBarter aligns with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and what you can do as a data principal.

Last updated · 17 May 2026

Working draft. Finalised wording will be reviewed by counsel and our designated Data Protection Officer before public launch.

Lawful basis

We process your personal data under the “legitimate use” and “consent” bases described in Sections 6 and 7 of the DPDP Act. By signing up, you provide informed consent to the processing described in the Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Customer consent (for lead posters)

As a poster, you are the data fiduciary for the customer information you upload. LeadBarter acts as a data processor for that information. You confirm that you have obtained informed consent from the customer to share their details with a third party for the purpose of receiving banking-product offers.

Your rights as a data principal

  • Right to access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correct inaccuracies and complete incomplete records.
  • Right to erasure when the data is no longer necessary.
  • Right to grievance redressal, with a response within 30 days.
  • Right to nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Grievance officer

For any DPDP-related concerns, complaints, or requests, contact our grievance officer at hello@leadbarter.in. If unresolved within 30 days, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cross-border transfers

Application data is hosted in regions designated by Supabase. We will publish the exact data-residency region once finalised and will notify users of any changes 30 days in advance.
